Fans Seriously Line Up for Glam Nation
June 27th, 2010 by Admin
It’s summer in New York City, one of the dirtiest and most crowded places in the world. That wasn’t enough to stop droves of Adam Lambert fans from flocking to the Nokia Theater in Times Square – many of them a full 24 hours early for the show – to attend the NYC leg of his Glam Nation Tour.
Anyone and Everyone
The theater sold out all its tickets for Lambert’s performances, and some more rabid fans took added measures to get good spots at the general admission concert. A good number could be spotted practically camping outside the theater, out there with the typical dirt and grime of a Times Square sidewalk. The line got to the point that it almost snaked all the way to West 45th Street.
Audience members came from a very wide range of backgrounds, and wasn’t the gaggle of American females as one might expect. Danes, Brits, Japanese, Singaporeans and Venezuelans were all attendance to add even more variety to an audience that already came from all over the United States. There was also a good number of dudes in the audience – even in the number camping outside the venue.
Glam Nation Takes the Nation
For someone who’s on a completely different side of the country, the California native is doing extremely well. The Glam Nation Tour, which also features young talents Orianthi and Allison Iraheta, has had a string of sold out concert dates on top of the bestselling ones in NYC.
Lambert and company will continue touring on the East Coast after their stint in the Big Apple. Connecticut and New Jersey are next on the touring route, and are expected to draw big crowds as well. Whether or not audiences there are willing camp outside an entire day for the concert remains to be seen. Seo India
